In the early 90's, I wanted to go around the world photographing protests. The idea of masses of people expressing their opinions in public spaces is very stimulating. I took pictures in Caracas, Mexico City, Montreal, and San Juan.
Soon after my first attempts I lost interest, as I noticed people following me. One day, some one stopped me and asked if I was a journalist and demanded to know for whom I was working.
